Although Pallars Sobirà is a mountain area, it can be reached by different public transport combinations from Barcelona, Lleida and other parts of Catalonia.
Train to La Pobla de Segur
One of the most interesting options is to travel by train to La Pobla de Segur on the Lleida – La Pobla de Segur line operated by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC).
It is a highly scenic journey that crosses the Pre-Pyrenees, passing through several gorges and reservoirs before reaching the Pyrenees.

Bus connection to Sort and Pallars Sobirà
From La Pobla de Segur there are regular bus connections to Sort and other towns in Pallars Sobirà.
This train + bus combination is a very good alternative for reducing private car journeys and enjoying the trip in a calmer, more sustainable way.

Taxi
4×4 taxis are the best alternative to a private vehicle for accessing the interior of the Park. You can consult the list of available taxis in each of the Park’s main valleys in the “Services” section of the corresponding sector map-guide, or by contacting the local town councils.
